Although it is possible to take your own vehicle to gran Canaria by ferry from mainland Spain for those who like to tour Spain, it hardly seems worth the bother, the Gran Canaria car rental rates are very reasonable so it is usually easier and cheaper to hire a car rather than taking your own ( of course most visitors to Gran Canaria arrive via the airport so car rental is the only option!)
