Getting into anime was something that I didn’t do until I was…. well, I was a lot older than the age that most people discover the wonders of anime. The only real anime I remember from when I was a kid was the movie Vampire Hunter D, and while I thought that it was pretty cool, it took well over a decade before I really started watching some of the other shows. And, to be honest, it wasn’t because I knew very much about anime or the show, and it wasn’t because it was recommended by friends. I kind of tell into it because of my sword collecting hobby. While I was searching for a new sword to buy, I saw an anime sword, replicas from some of the more popular shows on television, like Bleach and Naruto. So, I bought a couple of the swords and then started watching the show. Easy as that.
