Constipation symptoms are commonly caused by blockages that form between the bottom of the large intestines and the beginning of the colon. When the body is deprived of the water it needs, then stool will become drier and bowel movements will be more painful and difficult. Frequent bowel movements are common when you have a healthy and balanced diet. One of the biggest constipation causes is insufficient fiber intake. Fiber helps prevent constipation because it adds water to stool so that it is softer and easier to pass during bowel movements. If the constipation cause is indeed an impaction, then death can result if the condition is not properly treated.
