One of the contributors to high heat pump prices is the cost of new technology. Many people are not aware of the fact that heat pumps make use of relatively sophisticated technology - and often times the latest technology. New technology is costly technology - and the cost must, unfortunately, be born by the consumer of it. In time, when new technology becomes ‘old’ technology, the price may come down, but by that time newer products will be offered, again incorporating the latest technology.
